"Timberworks Toy products are extremely durable, nice looking, and fun to build
and create with. We (Runge Conservation Nature Center) used the wooden blocks
in 11 different community events throughout 2011 and were amazed by how well
they withstood thousands of hands touching, playing, and creating with them.
The Timberworks Toy blocks were instantly a hit with not only children, but
adults as well. They were an essential part of our "Year of the Forest" exhibit
since they represented a renewable resource. Thank you, Timberworks, for adding
a new and fun dimension to our forest programs and exhibits. We, and Runge
visitors, will continue to enjoy your product for years to come."

To Whom It May Concern,
Regarding: Timberwork toys

I am a kindergarten teacher in the public school system in Missouri. Timberwork toys have been a part of my classroom for the last year and a half. The 2011-2012 school year was unique in that I had 31 students in my class with a girl boy ratio of 5 to 26. Yes,
that is 26 boys between 5 and 6 years old in one classroom. Timbework toys were WONDERFUL. I used the bigger set but I did not
stick to the designs that were suggested on the box. My boys just wanted to build. I set up a play area with a large circle carpet.
In small groups of 4 or 5 students, the children got to play, build, explore, on their own for 30 to 45 minutes. The blocks offer so much room to create. They are perfect for this age group. Their stuctures, creations, their time thinking, and reasoning, was excellent.

Sometimes it is important to value process over product. Regardless of what the students were suppposed to build they made something and each child took pride in that accomplishment.

I have a very old, very large set of wooden blocks in my classroom available to my students daily. The Timberwork Toys were a special addition that I only set out for a week each month. The Timberwork toys are so high quality. The T. toys are blocks simply designed better. They allow students to improvise stuctures, and create "things" that are just theirs. I can't recommend this set enough. It is a great learning tool to add to any classroom.
